Metro Engagement – The New Halifax Convention Centre

When: November 21, 2012 — 7 - 9pm

Where: Kenneth C. Rowe Heritage Hall, Halifax

Purpose: This session will discuss what influence the public can have in regard to the convention centre.

How can the design, space and events of the convention centre benefit you and your community?

For your inspiration

We have three sketches of the Convention Centre interior. Use these as inspiration and tell us:

  • Who are we as Nova Scotians?
  • How can the new convention centre be part of the revitalization of downtown Halifax?
  • How can the new convention connect Nova Scotians to one another and the world?
  • What would it take for you to use this building and be proud of it?
  • What is going to make this facility comfortable for you to use as Nova Scotians being in the space? (work, eat, shop)

  • Boo Stover

This whole project is a travesty. It should be killed before it wastes still more of the public’s money.

    • Aaron Veinotte

Actually it’s nothing even close to a travesty. War, famine, pestilence, the NHL lockout – those are all travesties. This is just a big building with a debatable business case. But regardless of one’s thoughts on the merits of the facility, they’re doing a bang-up job of reaching out to the public about it. Let’s be part of the process and make it the best facility it can be.
